IP54, durable in all conditions
Rugged and durable, this device is designed to perform in harsh environmental conditions. The xtender xts provides IP54 protection against dust and water splashes. It offers versatility in terms of installation locations, as it can be used both outdoors and indoors.
It becomes your reliable ally for demanding installations in all environments.
For IP65 protection, you can check our next1 inverter-charger.
Flexible solar energy, discover AC/DC coupling
AC/DC coupling gives you maximum flexibility to integrate solar energy into your system.
With DC coupling, our solar charge controllers variotrack or variostring feed energy directly into the batteries for greater storage efficiency.
With AC coupling, additional PV inverters can power the loads directly. The xtender uses the excess of production for charging and compensates for consumption with the battery when the solar power is low.
Together, these two approaches ensure optimal use of your solar production, with smart storage and reliable supply at all times.
A wide range of battery compatibility
The xtender is compatible with all 12V, 24V, 48V (depending on the model chosen) battery chemistries (lithium, lead, Na+…), either communicating or not. There is a very flexible battery profile configuration to help you to adapt to each technology. The xcom CAN accessory ensures communication with BMS of lithium batteries.
Adaptative management of batteries
With more than 3 decades of expertise in offgrid energy management, we have perfected battery optimisation to ensure a long-lasting performance. The xtender features our Battery Lifetime Optimizer (BLO), which intelligently adapts charge cycles to preserve battery health and extend its lifespan.
Thanks to precise charge control and advanced management algorithms, your batteries operate efficiently, reliably, and for the long run.
Automatic and efficient stand-by for lower consumption
To save energy, the inverter stops and goes into load search mode when the load is lower than the sensitivity you have set. It automatically resumes operation when a consumer requires it.
The advantage of this feature is extended battery life, reducing unnecessary consumption during periods of no load, which is perfect for offgrid systems where every watt of battery power saved counts.
Choose your energy strategy
Customize your installation to your priorities with access to over 300 settings.
- Program the behaviour related to the AC source:
- Solar priority: consume and store your energy, without ever sending it to the grid. The energy remains 100% local.
- Offgrid or weak grid mode: the battery recharges as soon as a source (generator or grid) is available, to guarantee autonomy in all circumstances.
- And many more.
- Make load management with two auxiliary contacts.
- Change the behaviour of the unit with remote input
Multi-units flexibility for more powerful systems up to 12.6kVA with the xts 1400-48
Parallel and three-phase combination, up to 9 units in the same communication bus.
Unstoppable peak power, peak shaving and active load filtering
Built to power all your loads, including pumps, compressors and others peak power with 2.8kVA for 5sec with the xts 1400-48.
With peak shaving you can reduce the amount of electricity drawn from the generator (or the grid) during high-demand periods by using stored energy from your batteries to supply the extra power. This avoids oversizing the genset.
Distributed mini-grid function for larger systems
The minigrid is a small, autonomous electricity network that enables electricity to be produced, stored, and shared on a local scale. A centralized energy system creates the grid, and a distribution system reaches the consumers.
We have developed a series of functionalities to be the centralized system or distributed interactive systems coupled by AC.
rcc 02, full control of your installation, right at your fingertips
The rcc 02 is the perfect companion for the xtender series. This compact wall-mounted remote display allows you to monitor and configure your inverter-charger with ease.
- Monitor real-time values such as battery voltage, power flows etc.
- Integrated data logging for troubleshooting and long-term performance analysis.
Configure about 300 settings of the xtender (charging profiles, transfer thresholds, Smart-Boost, standby levels, etc.).
- Store and recall complete configuration files for easy duplication across devices or multiple systems.
Access and adjust programmable auxiliary contacts to automate functions (generator start, load shedding…).
Easy monitoring via the app and the web portal
Designed to monitor your system’s data, the Studer monitoring application is perfect for obtaining information about your system at a glance.
We offer our monitoring tools completely free of charge, both the Studer monitoring app for end-users and the Studer web portal for installers, because we believe that reliable, professional, and complete monitoring should be a standard, not an option. All data is stored on European servers.
Unlock the potential of home automation integration
The potential free contacts provided by the arm 02 accessory enable certain devices to be started up according to the conditions specified in the inverter configuration. Without the need for an external home automation system.
For more complex systems, you can use our open modbus/API “Open studer” to fully integrate the xtender devices in complex and customized system architectures.
Ultra-short transfer time (from 0 to 15ms max.)
With an ultra-short transfer time (≤ 15 ms), the xtender ensures an uninterrupted power supply without any noticeable interruption.
Uninterrupted power, seamless genset integration
Gensets can be connected to our xtender inverter/charger to provide emergency power for your installation when the battery is low or when the sun doesn’t shine enough. The inverter is also capable of automatically starting the genset with contacts.
