Full interactive grid inverter
Including an AC source with double disconnection relay from the grid. This input complies with the latest grid-tied regulations in the EU and other regions. The electricity grid is no longer your main source of power, but merely a temporary backup.
16kW of solar power for your PV installation
The next3 incorporates two high-voltage 900Vdc MPPT inputs of the latest generation for a 16kW integrated solar power system. PV can be oversized to 24kW for winter production.

Do you need more solar power than the 16kW built into the next3?
Thanks to AC and DC coupling, it is possible to increase your solar capacity far beyond the 16 kW integrated into the next3. You can connect additional AC PV inverters on the AC flex input/output, or add more MPPTs on the DC side, allowing you to scale your solar production according to your energy needs.
The next3 can work with our vario series of solar chargers in DC coupling with the xcom 485i-nx accessory.
Choose your strategy regarding the use of your solar energy
Adapt your installation to your priorities with four simple strategies:
- Optimised self-consumption: use your solar energy during the day, store the surplus, and keep a reserve in case of power cuts.
- Full feed to the grid: you sell all your solar production, while keeping a full battery for backup.
- Zero export (Solar priority without injection): consume and store your energy, without ever sending it to the grid. The energy remains 100% local.
- Offgrid or weak grid mode: the battery recharges as soon as a source (generator or grid) is available, to guarantee autonomy in all circumstances.
A wide range of battery compatibility
The next3 is compatible with all 48V battery chemistries (lithium, lead, Na+…), either communicating or not. An integrated CAN-BMS interface ensures a plug and play solution with communicating lithium batteries. There is a very flexible battery profile configuration to help you to adapt to each technology.
Adaptative management of batteries
With more than three decades of expertise in offgrid energy management, we have perfected battery optimisation to ensure long-lasting performance. The next3 features our Battery Lifetime Optimizer (BLO), which intelligently adapts charge cycles to preserve battery health and extend its lifespan.

Power flow dispatcher®
System-oriented, the Power flow dispatcher® is our AI algorithm that coordinates the energy management of the entire system. Offering you the best possible management of your energy production.
Redistributing power between phases
In a three-phase electrical system, each phase ideally carries the same load. But in reality, some phases can be overloaded while others are underused. The power flow dispatcher helps adapt to the source limitations using the battery in the most versatile way, it can even perform phase balancing.
Unstoppable peak power and peak shaving
Built to power all your loads, including pumps, compressors and others peak power with 30kVA for 5sec. All loads can be powered in offgrid.
With peak shaving you can reduce the amount of electricity drawn from the grid (or generator) during high-demand periods by using stored energy from your batteries to supply the extra power. Peak power is reduced, and so are the associated costs.
AC flex, a second source or an extra controlled load
The unique AC flex connection can be configured to use a second AC source or an extra controlled load.
For loads, it offers you a fully monitored connection for open possibilities: solar AC, genset, wind+hydro, V2L, load management and shedding… The programming is done independently for each phase: L1, L2, and L3. This means that for a multi-unit system with 3 next3 units, there can be up to 9 single-phase controllable loads.
Multi-units flexibility for more powerful systems up to 48kVA
Up to three next3 units can be used to create a high-power inverter-charger system, allowing you to customize the installation according to customer needs. It is also possible to combine multi-units and multi-battery systems, even allowing different battery technologies.
The three next3 work as one system, but the PV inputs are independent. The AC flex input/output, the AUX relays and CMD IN of each device can be programmed independently.

The next interface is the new gateway to the next ecosystem powered by nextOS, an intuitive smart platform to configure, control and analyse your system. Making life easier for both professional installers and final users.

- View solar production, consumption, battery charge status, and energy flows in real time

Gensets can be connected to our next3 inverter/charger to provide emergency power for your installation when the battery is low or when the sun isn’t shining enough. The inverter is also capable of automatically starting the genset with contacts.
